Video target detection and tracking technology is an important part of the application of image processing technology , the technology has a wide range of applications in many fields , such as : robot navigation , safety monitoring system and medical image analysis . The paper studies the static background target detection and tracking , target motion and changes in ambient light detection and tracking . After analyzing the adjacent frame difference method, background subtraction and the advantages and disadvantages of optical flow method , taking into account the adjacent frame difference detection method has the advantages of fast and easy to implement , select the adjacent frame difference method for target detection . In order to overcome the shortcomings of the adjacent frame difference target detection target area to expand and holes , combined with edge detection and morphological image processing technology to achieve accurate detection of moving targets , and by constantly testing to achieve target tracking . Secondly, for the most general case, in the video camera and the target movement . In this case, the target motion and camera motion will cause the image gray change, if you want to use the adjacent frame difference method detection target , you must first the interframe background compensation . Camera motion model based on the selection of six parameters camera motion model to establish the relationship of adjacent frames projector ; Then, to improve the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm for motion model parameter estimation , the use of adjacent frame difference method , the inter-frame motion background compensation detection of moving targets ; Finally, using a local template matching algorithm to search for the target target tracking in the next frame . The experimental results verify the correctness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm .
