Abstract


IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), also known as network television, refers to the IP protocol-based television broadcasting services. The business will be television or personal computer as a display terminal, through the broadband network to provide digital broadcast television, video services, information services, interactive communities, interactive entertainment, e-commerce and other broadband services. The main features of IPTV is interactivity and real-time. Its system architecture includes streaming media services, program editing, storage, and authentication and accounting, and other subsystems, the main storage and transmission of the content is streaming media files, based on the IP network transmission, usually set up at the edge content distribution service node, configure the flow media services and storage devices, user terminals can be IP set-top box + TV, it can be a PC.As a new service, IPTV has used many new technologies and new devices that haven’t been test 100%. In the mean time, delivering the IPTV service will pass through many nodes. It is hard to diagnose the location of the trouble nodes. So maybe a little problem will affect the user’s experience or even lead to failure of the service.IPTV QoE has been studied a lot and has some fruit, but it is still at the beginning researching phase, it still meets the operator’s need. IPTV QoE involves in many factors, each will bring a difficult question.This thesis mainly lucubrates the IPTV QoE in three aspects:(1)IPTV QoE factor analyse: Through studying the IPTV end to end system, collect the research results, sum up the IPTV QoE key factors.(2)IPTV QoE Test: This thesis tests the IPTV QoE key factors through adding the different parameters such as video parameter, delivery network parameter,controlling parameter.(3)According the IPTV QoE test result, this thesis gives some proposals on how to optimize the IPTV QoE in the large-scale business IPTV system, and exams these proposals in the lab.
