Abstract


This thesis introduces the design and realization of monitoring software in Doppler weathter radar system.Doppler weather radar system is composed of transmitter,receiver, signal processing subsystem, servo subsystem and monitoring subsystem.Monitoring software runs in Linux-based system and it has many functions,such as acquiring and pretreating echo data and feedback,displaying echo data,status information,system failure and operational diary, controlling all subsystems of the weather radar,communications with the weather radar,and so on. This software is a necessary tool for examing real-time echo information and monitoring the status of the running weather radar for radar station operators.This paper mainly discusses the design of the monitoring system software based on analyzing the system requirements.The paper firstly inctroduces the parts and principle of the Doppler weather radar in brief, and gives the whole structure and function modules composing of the monitoring system software. The software is developed in Eclipse IDE with Qt under the Linux platform and multi-threads mechanism.The software is well constructed and includes many modules of different functions, such as data acquisition and pretreatment, information displaying, the whole radar system controlling,network communication, map setting , sun calibration, and so on.Then the paper discusses the realizing of each part in detail. It also chiefly investigates the real displaying of echo data and the principles and implementation of all kinds of calibrating operation in system controlling module.The software has friendly interface and can be used easily.The software has been tested and proved to meet the expected requirements.It can be applied in Doppler Weather radar system.
