Abstract


Digital wave on the cable industry 's development not only an opportunity but also a challenge. HFC network to the transmission of integrated services , the reliability of the HFC network put forward higher requirements , through the monitoring techniques , and improve the reliability of their networks and devices , network operators are increasingly concerned about the problem . Install the HFC network management system is a very effective means of technology , it can be the event of failure of network equipment , accurate and timely fault location , reduce troubleshooting time to enhance the maintainability of the network . Also forecast the development trend of network device status through good predictive maintenance to improve the reliability of operation of the HFC network . The article briefly describes the background and significance of Cable NMS network management system at home and abroad Research . NMS network management and SNMP protocol to do a presentation and analysis of the composition of the cable management system , functional requirements . On this basis , the complete realization of the HMS - standard network management responder . Finally , this article describes the Wuxi Radio and Television select TNCS element management program HFC network management system design and implementation , designed to provide a comprehensive HFC network management solutions .
