Abstract


Along with the development of teaching and training information reform and the popularization of computers, it’s possible to offer corporate training and teaching via network right now, and network online E-learning platform system has reached its prime time. Compared with conventional teaching and training, online teaching and training can provide wider vision, and it can improve learning efficiency. But conventional E-learning platform can not satisfy the flexibility requirement of education, because the platform is centralized and can only provide courses which are preset.The currently popular MOODLE (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is an online E-learning platform system, which is featured with many functions and open source codes and it can be updated continuously. Trainers can add or delete module or plug-in based on their requirements when formulating course form, in order to realize interactive training with the trainees.In this paper, the author did some researches on the functions of MOODLE course teaching and training platform, stated the unique characteristics of MOODLE and made evaluation on MOODLE. Also the author explained about the shortcomings of MOODLE from some functions mentioned, learnt about the basic operation and all functions of MOODLE course teaching and training platform, made detailed analysis on the database of MOODLE system and found out the shortcomings and defects of the system, made the second time development on MOODLE system based on the original system, expanded the test library management function and course historic data management function which are not included in the original system, analyzed the integral frame and functional requirements of test library management function, made plan design for users and the available functions, realized all basic functions, satisfied the practical requirements of trainers, added historic data management function to Moodle’s existing course management module in order for the trainers to use the documented data, and get to know the basic conditions of trainees and the fundamental rules of teaching and training overall and better teaching quality and efficiency.
