Abstract


It is very important to capture video in real time in many video applications, such as conference based–on video. This thesis will introduce how to achieve the capture of video via using VFW,which is developed by Microsoft. The VFW helps to acquire video clip form analogical video source and transforms analogical video data to digital data or acquire digital video data directly. There are three sections in this paper.First section is about the basic knowledge of video, including its development、its requirement、its processing and its communication etc. Then this section brings forward the necessary of this task and describes the system’s functions.Second section introduces the saved format of digit video: .avi and .bmp. Their substance is the use of structs. It introduces the exploitation environment: Visual C++6.0 and the Application Framework, which is the base of programming. Then this section introduces the key technology of the MFC and the VFW.H header file, which encapsulates bottom codes of video capture and operations corresponding to these data, such as operations on AVI files and MCI interfaces.Third section is the realization of function codes. That is to capture video clip and static image using AVICap window, which defined in VFW.H. By running the program, video clip or image can be set to two different formats. This section compares these results single-to-single using human eyes and makes the conclusion in the end.This thesis gives the total conclusion and some other additional information as the end.
