Abstract


Internet streaming media is one of the hot points of Internet applications research, the popularity and development of computer networks provide a broad space for development for the streaming media services, and is widely used in video broadcast, video on demand, time-shifted TV, interactive video and video surveillance services.With the operating independently and different data storage format between the various support systems which made a lot of problems in data sharing, management and maintenance areas. So in order to ensure the normal operation of each system, improving manageability and security of system, building a unified operation support management platform particularly necessary.This paper describes the research background and development status of network streaming, combined with operations support systems (OSS) of the telecommunications industry and business development needs of Internet streaming industry, proposed the significance of building an OSS management platform. Then, the paper introduces an operation support management platform, with enterprise application integration technology; it combines the management of video broadcast, video on demand, time-shifted TV, interactive video and electronic program guide; it use the Role-Based Access Control to reduce system overhead and improve security. After that, the paper divides the system into modules according to different business types and principally introduces the details of modules design and implementation.Integrating the features of Internet streaming media services and considerate the reusability, security, stability, manageability and scalability of the system, the paper not only provide a comprehensive, unified, open operation support management platform, but also provide a reference scheme of OSS application research in Internet streaming media industry.
