Abstract


Eco-tourism attaches importance on both protecting the ecological environment and enriching the local residents and advocates comprehending nature, enjoying nature and protecting nature, which is regarded as one of the best modes of the sustainable development of tourism, therefore ecotourism development is essential for the sustainable development of the natural reserves. However, lots of cases and studies show that the development of ecotourism in natural reserves has been seriously hindered because of the relationship between the reserves and the local communities.Choosing the local residents as objects of study, this treatise employs many methods such as expert surveys, on-the-spot investigations and questionnaires to research the tourism perception, interest requirements and the form of realization of the interest of the residents in the reserves. And based on that the mechanism of coordinating the eco-tourism development and the community benefit is formulated, which provides helpful guidance in realizing the win-win situation between the tourism development, the community and the local residents.In this treatise, the related theory home and abroad is reviewed and the fundamental state of Zhangdu Lake Reserve is introduced. Then through questionnaire investigation and semi-structured Interview the tourism development perception of the local residents is researched from the following four aspects: their attitude towards the tourism development, their participative behavior, their ability to participate the development and the influence of the tourism development. The result shows that most residents are in favor of the tourism development and willing to participate it with optimism, recognizing the importance of cultural level. However, they cannot deeply understand the negative influence on the tourism development resulting from the over-emphasis on the economic benefits. And meanwhile, they remain skeptical of their own participative ability and hope that economic and technical support from the government is available.Then this treatise analyzes the interest requirements of the residents in the reserves for the tourism development and the forms of realization of the interest. The data is analyzed by SPSS software, showing that of the interest requirements the economic improvement is the most important for the residents, followed by participation and management, safer environment, cultural education and environmental protection, varying according to age, sex and cultural level; of the forms of realization of the interest the most important is getting corresponding benefits according to the law and the least is relying on the village committee cadres and the government and the communication with the management of the scenic area, showing that they don’t put much reliance on them. At last, based on the research on the tourism perception of the residents, the interest requirements and the forms of realization of the interest, reasonable mechanism for education and training, interests expression, profit distribution and interests monitor must be constructed in order to realize the coordinated development of the ecotourism development and the community benefits.
