Abstract


Rising or falling of forture, depengding on education; Great plans of education,depending on teachers.As the pillar of education, Teachers’ quality directly determines the level of education of any country to successfully implement the education reform, to improve the quality of teachers. In an era characterized by knowledge-based 21st century, the world is the quality of university teachers realize the importance of higher education, have undertaken research and practice in this field. Faculty Development (Staff Development) members to help teachers improve their ability as teachers and scholars, and enhance the teaching practice of university teachers, take courses and improve teaching of skills. Firstly, through the development of an overall analysis of University Teachers, described the university teachers and scholars of different countries to understand development, and university teachers in the field of theoretical research on the development of a representative of their theoretical model to analyse the development of the system construction of University Teachers of the course factor. International Perspective, the author examines U.S., UK and Australia, three university faculty development system to study its historical evolution and present situation, and to a representative national university faculty to develop implementation mechanisms for the Case Assessment and Reflection. By analyzing the development of the system of foreign construction of university teachers, university teachers to deepen their understanding of the development status and problems of adjustment in China’s higher education policy guidance on the university teachers and improve the quality of higher education for reference.Full total of four parts as following:Part I: Introduction This section describes the research on faculty development overview. Construction of the system including the background of university teachers, the purpose and significance of this study, the current status of research, this study, the research methods and ideas, paving the way for the introduction to provide below. Summarizes the development of Faculty scholars from various countries to understand and define the concept expounded in this area and its three representatives in the academic theory.Part II: This part of history for clues to explain the development of university teachers in Australia, the background and the current system, and analyze its impact mechanism. Part III: The University of Melbourne and Australia at all levels of libraries, for example, describes the development of university teachers in the school organization, content, incentives and approaches the situation. Investigated and described the University of Melbourne on opportunities for young teachers how to facilitate their conversion to the high level of teachers, and university libraries how to give non-academic staff development opportunities, showing how the features and so on.Part IV: This part of the experience of faculty development and trend of building summary, combined with our status quo, development and construction of university teachers in China learn from suggestions put forward.
