Abstract


Objective: To investigate the relationship chemotherapy affect blood testosterone levels of male patients with lung cancer and anemia , and blood testosterone and anemia . Methods : male lung cancer patients (n = 54) before and after chemotherapy , the blood level of testosterone (T) ; analysis with an automatic cell hemoglobin (Hb) levels were measured before and after chemotherapy , red blood cell (RBC) level was measured by radioimmunoassay . The observed serum testosterone (T) levels before and after chemotherapy , changes in the level of red blood cells (RBC) , hemoglobin levels (Hb) . Results: (1) the average of the male lung cancer patients with chemotherapy before T ( 2.98 ± 0.90 ) ng / ml , slightly lower than the normal reference value ; chemotherapy after T average ( 2.55 ± 0.78 ) ng / ml , compared with before chemotherapy , T levels significantly decreased , and the difference was statistically significant ( t = 11.171 , P lt ; 0.05) . (2) before chemotherapy RBC average ( 3.82 ± 0.65 ) × 10 12 / L ; chemotherapy after the RBC an average level ( 3.31 ± 0.63 ) × 10 12 / L , compared with chemotherapy before RBC levels , statistical difference significance (t = 21.775, P <0.05). Hb before chemotherapy average ( 116.37 ± 24.04 ) g / L ; Hb after chemotherapy average ( 107.83 ± 25.80 ) g / L , compared with before chemotherapy , Hb levels , the difference was statistically significant ( t = 12.488 , P lt; 0.05). ( 2 ) 54 cases of male lung cancer patients , chemotherapy , anemia in 30 cases ( 55.56% ) , the overall incidence of anemia after chemotherapy in 41 cases ( 75.92% ) ; total high incidence of anemia after chemotherapy before chemotherapy ( x 2 = 9.09 , Y, lt; 0.05). ( 3) before chemotherapy lung cancer unconsolidated anemia T average ( 3.67 ± 0.33 ) ng / ml ; lung cancer with anemia T average ( 2.43 ± 0.84 ) ng / ml , significantly lower than the lung unconsolidated anemia difference statistically significant (t = 7.352 , P <0.05 ) . Lung cancer after chemotherapy unconsolidated anemia T average level ( 3.17 ± 0.32 ) ng / ml ; lung cancer with anemia T average ( 2.05 ± 0.67 ) ng / ml , significantly lower than that of lung cancer with anemia , the difference was statistically significant ( t = 8.080, P lt; 0.05). (4) chemotherapy before T level with chemotherapy before Hb level , RBC level was significantly positive related ( P lt ; 0.05 ) ; after chemotherapy T levels with chemotherapy Hb level , RBC level was significantly positive related ( P lt ; 0.05 ) . Conclusion: chemotherapy cause male lung cancer patients with serum testosterone , hemoglobin , red blood cell level dropped significantly increased incidence of anemia ; male lung cancer anemia and blood testosterone decline was positively correlated .
