Abstract


Tank is very important in public works facility in petrochemical enterprises, its function is for a variety of liquid raw materials and products to provide a means of transportation and storage, and storage tank area of the medium level, temperature, volume, reserves, and the production changes of raw materials and products into the factory are important basis for command and scheduling.Tank storage automation system is typical of a class of control systems, it can achieve the precise measure of parameters of tank and real-time control, equipment monitoring and protection and effective management of tank farm operations, for the safety related and smooth operation about production facilities plays a vital role.This paper with the engineering objects of the South of a petrochemical enterprise storage tank, through the analysis of tank technology and processes clearly control needs. On this basis, the proposed storage tank farm automation system design, from system architecture, hardware configuration and software configuration / programming aspects of the PCS7 process control system in the tank applications.The system put into use in early 2011, security and stability has been nearly a year, its nature, reliability, openness, ease of use and other indicators are to achieve the desired effect.
