Abstract


New curriculum reform , mathematical modeling into the middle school mathematics curriculum , national curriculum standards set mathematical modeling learning activities , high school , at least for students arrange a mathematical modeling , mathematical modeling column in the mathematics curriculum standards is one of the major learning activities . Mathematical modeling aimed at refining the abstract to the practical problems in real life , a mathematical model to solve the model , and verify the reasonableness of the answers provided by the mathematical model to explain the reality of the problem . The main research questions of this study are: mathematical modeling capabilities of high school students in the Shanghai area status? Whether there is a link between the ability level of their mathematics academic achievement of students mathematical modeling ? Modeling teaching in secondary schools have any suggestions ? Main body of the paper by six parts: the first part of the introduction, introduces the problem of the proposed research significance and research questions elaborated . The second part at home and abroad on mathematical modeling , especially at the secondary mathematical modeling research reviewed to make defined division of mathematical modeling , modeling capabilities and ability levels in this study . The third part discusses the research design and process , including the selection of the test object , the design of the test questions , test implementation , and data encoding standard . The fourth part of the test results , analysis and discussion , is the core part of the paper . Detailed analysis and discussion of the test data , the main research questions answered in this study , that the status quo level modeling capabilities of the Shanghai area high school students , the differences of the modeling capabilities as well as its relationship with academic performance . The fifth section discusses two of the researchers involved in a grade teacher classroom teaching, through modeling teaching the teachers try to analysis , as well as the modeling analysis of the level of competence of the students in class , the middle school mathematics built mode teaching practice . The sixth part in the analysis of the test results of this study , and the basis of the analysis of classroom teaching , draw the main conclusions of this study . And secondary mathematical modeling teaching , especially the teaching of the introductory course and teaching materials , given the Thoughts and Suggestions .
