Abstract


Objective: (1) investigate the level of vocational students self-esteem overall condition; (2) to explore vocational students self-esteem and sense of security, a sense of mastery, self-efficacy, anxiety, depression, shyness, etc. The relationship between psychological factors; (3) low self-esteem improve vocational students to explore an effective psychological intervention psychological. Methods: A stratified cluster sampling method, were taken from Hunan, a vocational college 460 people surveyed, the application of Self-Esteem Scale, Maslow insecurity - insecurity scale, sense of control scale, general self-efficacy questionnaires, self-assessment questionnaire anxiety, depression, self-assessment questionnaires, shy Scale vocational students in class as a unit for on-site testing facilities. In addition, we selected 28 college students qualifying low self-esteem, in order to improve its self-awareness, social skills training, improve the ability of emotion regulation as the main target, a nine-week series of group psychological intervention activities. Results: (1) vocational students were surveyed a total of 460, 439 valid questionnaires, low self-esteem of 62 students, 14.1% of the total sample size. (2) vocational students self-esteem in terms of gender, boys scored significantly higher than girls; the students, the only child there are no significant differences on; parents' education level and occupation esteem for vocational students had no significant effect; divorced families esteem vocational students scored significantly lower than non-divorced families; family income does not exist in significant differences, but from the sharing of view, the higher the household income, the higher the self-esteem score. (3) high self-esteem group, a sense of control (positive control, self-control, positive self-confidence, positive compliance), self-efficacy factor significantly higher scores on the low self-esteem group, and in the sense of security - insecurity, sense of control (negative control , passive compliance), anxiety, depression, shyness factor significantly lower scores on the low self-esteem group. (4) vocational students self-esteem and sense of control (positive control, self-control, positive self-confidence, positive compliance), self-efficacy was significantly positively correlated with a sense of security - insecurity, sense of control (negative control, control of others, negative confident, passive compliance), anxiety, depression, shyness was significantly negatively correlated. (5) regression results show that positive self-confidence, depression, positive control, negative control, shyness turn into the regression equation. Positive self-confidence, self-esteem of vocational students to actively control a significant positive predictive relationship, depression, negative control, self-esteem shyness for vocational students have a significant negative predictive relationship. (6) by means of group psychological intervention, the intervention group's self-esteem, sense of control (positive control, negative control, self-control), depression, shyness has improved to some extent. This indicates that the intervention can improve vocational students as an effective form of self-esteem. Conclusion: This study investigated factors associated with self-analysis, as well as low self-esteem on the part of group psychological intervention for vocational students, yielded the following conclusions: (a) vocational students, the low self-esteem does not account for a small proportion of students, educators need to cause psychological attention. (2) family relationships of family factors on vocational students have a greater impact on self-esteem. (3) low self-esteem high self-esteem group of vocational students have a strong sense of insecurity and poor sense of control, self-efficacy is low, but also associated with depression, anxiety, shyness and other negative emotions; positive self-confidence, depression, positive control, negative control, shyness is a significant predictor of self-esteem. (4) the creation of equality, respect and warm atmosphere organizations, and from the self-awareness, emotion regulation, interpersonal relationships, life goals, positive behavior training for vocational students and other parties to face psychological training, to improve their low self-esteem certain results, while significantly improved level of control, self-confidence has improved, shy mood improved.
