The initial stage of the Republic of China is a golden age of national capitalism economic development, which needs substantial professionals. Whereas, graduates failing to find a job after graducation shows the contradiction between schooling and social needs. Career education (Vocational guidance), including four stages such as advocacy, developing amidst twists and turns, change and adjustment, experiment and declination, emerges with development of pragmatism and vocational guidance from Europe and America. Non-government organization, government and schools at all levels play a different part during the period.With the aim of "making jobless graduates find a job while making workingman work happily", career education in the Republican Period can promote human overall development, communicate education and society, so as to push society to state of stability and growth. By a series of effective ways, career education in the Republican Period takes on scientificity, sociability omnidistance and integration,with principle of subjectivity, intermateability and expansibility. However, there are historical limitations for career education in the Republican Period because of the turbulent situation, complicated and flexible historical background.In the research, the researcher tries to find enlightenment on contemporary education and build up scientific career education idea, while developing abundant career education activities and establis(?)g perfect career education guarantee condition.
