Abstract


With the rapid developing of Internet, more and more enterprises want to show their cultures, products or service via Internet by developing WEB and WAP sites. Therefore, various kinds of website development tools are being developed. Currently, the emergence of Content Management technology has injected new vitality to website development technology, but Web Content Management System (WCMS), the combination of website development technology and content management, achieves only a particular website content management, so it still has some limitations. Further more, there are huge amount of tools applying for both WEB site and WAP site development nowadays, but still, there are no such tools that can realize synchronous development of WEB site and WAP site with similar contents. As it can be clearly seen that using two sets of tools separately to develop and maintain the WEB site and WAP site with almost the same contents would surely increase the complexity and waste a lot of labor forces and material resources. Based on these reasons, the author did a research on the key technologies and implementations of synchronous development of WEB sites and WAP sites based on CMS.This paper proposed a novel concept of Meta-Control, standardize complex contents of websites. Based on that, setting XML as middle layer, a novel two-level mapping from content to WEB and WAP protocols was build up, then the mapping framework and mapping regulations were discussed in detail. After that, a novel four layer CMS (Expression-Enhanced CMS) logical structure was proposed by separating presentation logic from presentation layer of traditional CMS. Then the implementations of WEB sites and WAP sites synchronous development system was presented; And the position for the protocol mapping framework from content to WEB and WAP protocols and the implementations of that was discussed. In the end, the achievements and drawbacks of this novel synchronous development system for WEB sites and WAP sites were analyzed and summarized; the application prospect and significance of the system were also discussed.The two-level mappings from content to WEB and WAP protocols were independent of each other, it not only guaranteed synchronous edit and publishing of WEB sites and WAP sites, but also improved flexibility and scalability of the system. The Expression-Enhanced CMS shielded the differences between WEB and WAP protocols to the bottom layers, which made it become possible to realize synchronous development of WEB sites and WAP sites. Synchronous development of WEB sites and WAP sites would promote the technology of website development into a new stage.
