Abstract

Vehicle Ad Hoc network is a specific application of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks . Vehicles form a network node movement speed , resulting in dramatic changes in the network topology , link frequent disconnect between nodes , and serious damage to the performance of the routing protocols . Therefore, how to improve the reliability of the routing protocols to improve the quality of the vehicle communication system , and become a hot research vehicle Ad Hoc network . Vehicle Ad Hoc network routing protocols , for vehicle network characteristics , proposed as a research object based on GPS (Global Position System) equipment vehicle reliable routing protocol V - SARP ( Stability AODV Routing Protocol for VANET, ) . In view of the the nodes motion model is the basis of the routing protocol emulation , this paper first abstract real vehicle motion feature , vehicle network sports model established through VanetMobiSim simulation software ; then analyze the lack of AODV , combined with the advantages of the vehicle Ad Hoc Networks proposed V-SARP agreement. V-SARP algorithm uses two new mechanisms : ( 1 ) The RREQ message forwarding limiting algorithm , this algorithm the number of nodes of the route request is forwarded by node reliability constraints , reducing the flooding of the network caused by the broadcast routing request , thereby reducing the routing protocol overhead ; ( 2 ) the optimal routing selection mechanism , the use of this mechanism to establish routing routing expiration time value , in order to ensure the stability of the network , to achieve the purpose to improve data packet forwarding rate . Due to these improvements , the local repair mechanism of AODV protocol is no longer applicable to the V-SARP protocol , by adding repair request and response messages , the completion of the modification of the local repair process . Generated files to VanetMobiSim input file as the scene of the NS-2 platform , respectively, at low load , high load the scene of two city and highway -vehicle scene simulation comparing AODV and V-SARP agreement . The experimental results show that , compared with AODV protocol , although the V-SARP protocol end - to - end delay is increased , but can get higher packet delivery rate and smaller protocol control overhead . Therefore , V-SARP protocol to ensure network robustness and data transmission has certain advantages , more suitable for heavy network load and high speed vehicle communications system .
