Abstract


Heterogeneous wireless network convergence is inevitable trend of development of the next generation mobile communications . The handover management is an important part of the mobility management , and we studied the network selection strategy is a link between the preceding stage , it is the quality of the key factors affecting handover . Network coding can take advantage of the broadcast of the wireless network to reduce the number of retransmissions and improve bandwidth utilization . Network coding techniques and the heterogeneous wireless network technology , and better able to play the advantages of both , to provide a fast and reliable network services . This paper analyzes the application of network coding in network selection technology has important research significance . Papers selected for the single-user network , a broadcast environment fast network selection based on network coding strategy . Very high computational complexity of the most preferred network strategies based on network coding , we use the central limit theorem and valuation algorithm many reasonable simplify it , at the same time ensure the accuracy of the policy network selection . The simulation results show that , relative to other existing network selection strategy , our strategy is to ensure the user access to the network of a higher rate ; relative to the most preferred network strategies , it network performance very close to it , but the computational complexity is reduced many have practical value. Thesis group mobility scenarios , a unicast environment group network selection based on network coding strategy . According to the characteristics of the group user aggregation and network coding reduced retransmission number of characteristics , we deduce the network coding group network selection formula . In addition, we have adopted a centralized network selection to avoid group network selection problem of asymmetric information , and in accordance with the principle of integer programming to solve the best solution . The simulation results show that relative group network selection strategy based on channel conditions , our strategy is to get a smaller average transmission delay .
