Abstract

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a high-speed parallel multi-carrier transmission scheme , has a strong anti- multipath fading and narrowband interference , but there are a lot of shortcomings , and that has a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), the cause a demanding linearity of the transmitting side to the high power amplifier and the transmission efficiency is extremely low , but also increases the complexity of the a / D and D / a converter , limiting the practical application of the OFDM . Therefore , abatement PAPR OFDM system application process to solve key technical problems . Has been proposed a variety reduce PAPR . The most common are: limiting law , the encoding method , probabilistic method , barrier function method ( IPM ) . Limiting class method will cause signal distortion ; the probability class methods , such as selective mapping (SLM) and partial transmit sequence method PTS Although there are no distortion algorithm , but requires several additional IFFT operation , will undoubtedly increase the amount of computation , Therefore the use of IPM method to suppress the PAPR . Optimization algorithm for solving the minimum value of the function by calling the convex set effectively suppress the PAPR after several iterations . This paper studies the IPM function , and through the OFDM system constellation error vector series EVM and over- power conditions tectonic barrier function . Then, in the research the IPM method to reduce the PAPR the method based on BFGS algorithm for solving the PAPR global most advantages problem . Newton iterative method with general IPM method , the algorithm for the minimum , no longer directly calculate the second derivative of the matrix (Hessian ) and its inverse , but the use of the correction formula for Hessian approximation reducing the amount of computation . Matlab software simulation show that the algorithm can effectively suppress the system PAPR, but also reduces the system 's data storage and computation .
