The application technology of new scaffolds is one of The New Ten Technology of Construction, which the Department of Construction zealously popularizes. Shaped steel and steel tube composition formwork-support is a new scaffold system, and it can satisfy strength、stiffness and stability requirements of the heavy-load or high-support bracing system. It is suitable for the construction of cast-in-place concrete structures, especially the heavy-load or high-support or grate-span ones, such as the super-thick floor、the transfer girder,etc. This new scaffold system is provided with favorable structural capability and economic benefit.In this paper, we firstly review and analyze the overview and research situation of scaffolds and formwork-support system, in order to present the research orientation. Secondly introduce the structural system and construction process of shaped steel and steel tube composition formwork-support. Then contrast several methods about the calculation of scaffolds at home and abroad, and based on this condition inference suitable integral calculation method of it. Thirdly use the finite element analysis software to establish the calculation model of the bracing system. Discuss the key technologies of ANSYS finite element analysis, and analyze how the semi-rigid connections affect the structural mechanical properties of this scaffold system.In the basis of theoretical analysis, combining with specific engineering, test and analyze the structural mechanical properties, then draw some conclusions about the holistic stress conditions of the scaffold system under the specific conditions.From these analysis results, we will draw some conclusions which are very useful to understand the mechanical capacity of the falsework system and guide the engineering practice.
