Abstract


Vehicle sound quality is part of vehicle NVH research. Sound quality evaluation is not only the examining measurement for vehicle sound, but also shows how to improve the vehicle sound quality.This paper introduces the vehicle sound quality characteristics, study methods and recent research at home and abroad. The sound quality evaluation methods, both the objective method and the subjective method, are described in a sweeping generalization. The objective evaluation parameters of each category are introduced in detail, including their meanings and calculation methods.The left front door closing sound samples in the drive left and right ears’of kinds cars were selected as evaluation objects. Paired comparison method is applied for the subjective preference evaluation. Then research the characteristic of the sound samples which get high preference degree in the subjective evaluation test, calculate main psychoacoustic parameters and analysis the relationship between psychoacoustic parameters and subjective preference. Analysis the door closing sound characteristics which may lead poor sound quality combining the door structure and door closing sound generation mechanism, and give reasonable suggestions.Propose door closing sound sample collection methods and processes. Establish sound samples management database, including sound sample feature library and door closing sound sample library, to realize the effective management of the sound samples and make the foundation for the development research. Then introduce the sound quality subjective evaluation software platform, and propose the concept of objective evaluation software platform based on artificial neural network.
