Abstract


In recent years, with the rapid development of computer network technology , various service applications are more and more widely , leading to the increasing demand for bandwidth , often caused by network congestion . A variety of distributed multimedia applications with high bandwidth requirements , not only on the network and information transmission with low latency and low jitter . Some non-critical applications business , especially with the popular eMule, BT, Thunder and other P2P applications , P2P network traffic has become an important part of the Internet , and consume most of the network bandwidth resources , seriously affected the HTTP , the E- the quality of service for mail and other critical applications . How to control network traffic has become an important problem currently facing . If flow control bandwidth effective resource allocation and management to ensure that the basic user bandwidth , the suppression of non - business-critical traffic can greatly enhance the quality of service of the network in the case of limited bandwidth resources . This article studies the structure and operating principle of the Linux firewall Netfilter framework to analyze the the Netfilter firewall link tracking technology and application layer recognition classifier L7 -filter , and study the Linux traffic control technology , used the FIFO flow control , TBF, SFQ, CBQ, HTB queuing discipline focus . Based on Netfilter firewall and connection tracking mechanism of the Linux operating system , combined with the application layer protocol identification tools L7-filter and flow controller TC is designed and implemented a simple and efficient flow control prototype system . The system is divided into two functional modules flow identification and traffic control , traffic identification module using iptables and L7-filter recognition packet protocol , and then use iptables to identify the different user groups and protocol packet classification marking , traffic control module according to the application requirements of different user groups and application protocols assign different minimum guaranteed bandwidth and maximum bandwidth can be borrowed and borrowed priority , inhibition of P2P and other non-critical traffic , in order to guarantee the quality of service of the SSH, Telnet, HTTP and other business-critical . The experiments show that this system can effectively control the network traffic , greatly improve the quality of service of the network , and low equipment cost , easy to set up a good QoS solutions for small and medium-sized networks .
