Abstract


Based on the social capital theory and behavioral finance theory, This paper discuss individual investors in the investment process performance of behavior bias, and mainly studies the individual investors of social capital and its characteristics of individual behavior affects the deviation. By reviewing the documents, determined the individual investors in China of the outstanding overconfidence, conformity behavior, such as loss aversion behavior bias. Assuming the social capital and the personal characteristics of behavior bias correlated. Through the questionnaire, we’ve gained 253 sample data. Then we use the structure equation model to test the original hypothesis.Survey figures showed that individual investors in China behavior bias performances, different between individual investors of the social capital amount to a big difference. Through the SEM of empirical studies prove, individual investors of social capital on its behavior bias has a negative correlation, namely, social capital bigger, more rational investors; Gender, income and education levels and behavior are into a negative correlation between the deviation.Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical results, t this paper presents the corresponding recommendations to investors and the Monitoring Institute. For the investors, the first is to various learning investment knowledge, and the second is to understand their behavior characteristic, to avoid irrational behavior. As for Monitoring Institute:first of all, must to guarantee the transparency of the policy and regulations; second is to further improve information disclosure system and strengthen market oversight, improve the law enforcement efforts; once again, to strengthen investment consulting industry construction and management. Finally, is to strengthen the directly protection of investors.
