Abstract


Finance management mode of Multinational Corporation represents financial relationship with its parent company and within its subsidiaries as well. With development of scale of enterprise and rapid global economy as well as development of telecom technology, market competition becomes increasingly serious. Many foreign companies have invested Financial Shared Service Center (FSSC) to reach the targets of cost reduction, value creation and Service quality improvement. With support of corporate ERP system, implementation of FSSC has integrated all financial related service for business support function together so that it can offer standard, centralized service based on business process.On the basis of research of foreign relevant literatures as well as domestic, this article systematically summarize the feature and layout of financial shared service, analyze the financial shared service in terms of benefits to the enterprise with combination of theories from economy and management; On the other hand, through analysis of financial shared service character compared to traditional finance management mode, the author summarized its potential strength and discussed how to avoid its weakness in some aspects as well as emphasized the key elements for FSSC implementation; Furthermore, during review of implementation process and effect of D company’s FSSC, besides the good performance as expected we still found some issues existing. Thus, based on the summarized FSSC theories combined with D company’s case it is proposed that the improvement direction for D company’s FSSC according to the aspects of technician, procedure and people which will play the key role during implementation of FSSC. At last, there has a outlook of FSSC’s future as well as its development in China.
