Objective: Allergic rhinitis (AR) in patients with peripheral serum interleukin -4 (IL-4) and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) levels were measured, and its relationship with TCM syndrome relevance for TCM provides laboratory reference basis for Chinese medicine treatment of new research ideas. Materials and Methods: According to TCM, Lanzhou standards and criteria to select patients with perennial allergic rhinitis 75 cases (including 38 males and 37 females), mean age 26.59 ± 10.19 years (14-65 years old), TCM is divided into four types, including lung Deficiency Type 25 cases, 20 cases of spleen qi, kidney deficiency type 14 cases, lung volt heat and 16 cases of normal control group of 20 patients (12 males and 8 females), mean age 30.15 ± 10.69 years (18-60 years), using double antibody sandwich ELISA, AR patients with IL-4 and IFN-γ levels among the groups to compare the data and correlation analysis. Results: ① Press TCM standards AR 75 patients were divided into: lung and stomach, spleen qi, kidney insufficiency, lung volt hot type IV, the main deficiency found in patients with AR, there is also a part of the lung Empirical volt hot temper weakness group was more severe nasal edema and kidney deficiency group is mainly for the longer course, runny nose more. ② four patients with AR-type IL-4 levels were significantly higher than the normal control group (P lt; 0.01), IFN-γ levels were significantly lower than the control group (P lt; 0.01), IL-4/IFN-γ ratio than normal control group, there were significant differences (P lt; 0.01); among patients with kidney deficiency group AR highest levels of IL-4, followed by temper weak group, lung volt hot group, lung Deficiency groups. The comparison between groups except lung and lung Deficiency volt hot group group there was no significant difference, the rest were significant differences (P lt; 0.01 and P lt; 0.05). Patients with kidney deficiency group AR lowest levels of IFN-γ, followed by temper weak group, lung volt hot group, lung Deficiency groups. Conclusion: Serum IL-4 and IFN-γ involved in the pathogenesis of AR for AR syndrome type provides the material basis and modern laboratory diagnostic immunology indicators to guide TCM, and on its basis to develop appropriate treatment, TCM treatment is to provide a new research direction.
