Abstract


Herpes zoster is a common and frequently occurring disease, the incidence rate showed an upward trend year after year, seriously affect people’s work and life. This topic by observing the electro-acupuncture plus Jiaji fire surround barbed needle treatment of acute herpes zoster clinical efficacy, and detect, analyze before and after treatment in patients with plasmaβ-endorphin content in the changes of the electro-acupuncture plus Jiaji encirclement thorn Fire-needle treatment of acute herpes zoster and its mechanism of analgesic effect of a preliminary study with a view to better guide clinical.100 patients selected from the sections of acupuncture and moxibustion department and dermatology department of Wuhan Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital from March 2008 to May 2009, according to check the table of random sequence, all the cases were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,50 patients in each group. The treatment group were treated with electro-acupuncture plus Jiaji fire surround barbed needle treatment; the control group with oral administration of acyclovir tablets and vitamin B1 therapy, both treatment groups 10 days after treatment, the 22 days,30 days, 60 days,90 days conduct follow-up. Before and after treatment were determined in plasmaβ-endorphin content were observed after treatment of clinical efficacy and before and after of treatment ofβ-endorphin content changes in the plasma.1. Comprehensive comparative efficacy of the treatment group cured 48 cases, the total effective rate was 96.0%; control group,36 cases cured, with a total effective rate was 72.0%. Two sets of comprehensive therapeutic effect, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01).2. Pain assessment compared to pre-treatment VAS score was no statistical difference between the two groups (P>0.05); two of their respective VAS score after treatment compared with before treatment were significantly different (P<0.01); the two groups after treatment compared to treatment group VAS score was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01); the time of the pain started to ease of treatment group is significantly shorter than the control group, the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05).3. Comparison of evaluation of Herpes, the time of blisters stop increasing and blisters scab are shorter than the control group, the differences are statistically significant (P<0.01).4. The incidence of PHN of the treatment group and control group in 30 days and 60 days are significantly different (P<0.05), but in 90 days of follow-up, there is no statistical significance (P>0.05).5. Comparison of content of plasmaβ-EP, the two groups before treatment, showed no statistical significance (P>0.05); the two groups after treatment, plasmaβ-EP content are significantly higher than those in their pre-treatment (P<0.01); after treatment, the content of plasmaβ-EP in treatment group is higher than the control group (P<0.05).1. Jiaji points electric acupuncture and round acupuncture add fire needle treatment in patients with herpes zoster can significantly reduce the extent of acute pain, can improve patient symptoms better, the promotion of nerve injury and recovery of lesions and reduce the incidence of PHN, the treatment of acute herpes zoster is a safe and effective method.2. Two pairs of acute herpes zoster patients had a more positive clinical effect, but the integrated effect of the treatment group is better than the control group, analgesic effect of the treatment group is also better than the control group, in addition, the treatment group of the pain started to ease time, only the blisters time and scab are shorter than those in the control group, it shows that the treatment group has an advantage of shorten the course and its incidence of PHN is lower.3. After the treatment, patients with herpes zoster in plasmaβ-endorphin levels compared with its own pre-treatment significantly different (P<0.01), and the treatment group was higher (P<0.05), showed that Jiaji points electric acupuncture and round acupuncture add fire needle can increase the activity ofβ-EP, interruption of pain-loop to achieve a better analgesic effect, may be the way of Jiaji points electric acupuncture and round acupuncture add fire needle quickly ease the pain of herpes zoster.
