Abstract

When certain parts of the body’s blood vessels can not guarantee the body’s normal blood supply due to the aging progress, arteriosclerosis, embolism or other reasons, it needs a vascular replacement, bypass surgery or interventional treatment with a blood vessel substitute. In recent years, the surgeon applies a variety of materials in the reconstruction of the large artificial artery blood vessels and obtains a good clinical efficacy. However, in the reconstruction of small caliber arteries (<6mm) and veins, the reasons that the implanted artificial blood vessels often activate the blood coagulation and other factors and thrombosis, result in tracheal constriction or occlusion and eventually lead to the failure of clinical transplantation. The purpose of this paper is to find a sort of suitable textile-based material and structure, which can form a new composite structure of small-caliber artificial blood vessels improving the binding force between textile vessel and nano-cellulose coating.Firstly,30D/24f polyester yarn,50D/12f mucilage cellulose bright yarn and 30D/24f mucilage cellulose bright yarn are selected and treated by weaving and slashing to be more suitable for knitting. Secondly, based on the performances of tubular tissue and requirements for bacterial cellulose coating, through the analysis of the structure of weaving and knitting, the plain tissue, the openwork tissue, the gauze tissue, and the two-dimensional diamond weave structure are chosen as the structure of tubular tissue. At next, on the basis of the materials and structure listed above, a set of multi factors and multi levels preparation approaches are design to find a more stable sample with larger tube pore area Then according to the process of weaving and knitting, a series of weaving parameters is selected to make 6mm-diameter caliber artery samples. 105℃10 minutes hot wind is used to shape the samples. Through the measurement and compare, the results show that the tubular tissue which are made by 3% PVA1788 50D/12f mucilage cellulose bright yarn with the structure of gauze tissue is more suitable for coating. Finally, the bacterial cellulose is cultivated on the tubular tissue and the small-caliber artificial blood vessel with smooth and even proportioned internal surface is formed. The photographs and electron microscope image are shown to demonstrate the surface of the bacterial cellulos coating.
