Abstract


Transport MPLS (T-MPLS) is a technology developed based on connection-oriented MPLS packet transmission technology, providing end to end OAM monitoring, transmission-level QoS and carrier-class protection. Currently, ITU-T has plans to use Automatic Switched Optical Network (ASON)/Generalized Multi-label switching (GMPLS) as the control plane of T-MPLS. For the ASON control plane, one of the core strengths is that the network nodes can automatically discover new devices and their properties and functions can be confirmed. At the same time, the network topology can be updated in real time and determine the optimal routing traffic according to the new topology and traffic. The Open Shortest Path First-Traffic Engineering (OSPF-TE) of GMPLS is used as the routing information distribution protocol in ASON networks. By rational allocation of resources and effective control of routing process, traffic engineering makes the optimal use of network resources.This paper is mainly based on research of T-MPLS technology and OSPF topology discovery method. After in-depth study of the existing ring network topology discovery algorithm, a distributed network topology discovery algorithm used in mesh T-MPLS network is proposed. Overall, the paper’s main innovations are as follows:1. An Improved T-MPLS ring network topology discovery algorithm is proposed and has been simulated and proved by simulation.2. A distributed T-MPLS mesh network topology discovery algorithm is proposed and has been simulated and proved by simulation.3. A T-MPLS topology discovery simulation platform is built with that the nodes in the network both have the model of OSPF topology discovery algorithm and the model of distributed topology discovery algorithm. The two topology discovery methods are analyzed comparatively.
