Abstract


Career exploration is the individual search information to help individual career development activities on the environment and self. Career Exploration includes two dimensions, environment to explore the dimensions and the dimension of self-exploration, environmental exploration generally refers to career information for the exploration and related professional orientation activities; self-exploration by generally refers to the individual to reflect on their own past experiences and background on the future career development, and a deeper understanding of self. Career Exploration lay the foundation for future career decisions. Super is a very important figure in the field of career development, from a development perspective, the theoretical framework for career development, and stressed the important position of career exploration in the career development of individuals proposed career exploration is the basis of individual career decision. Super (1957) pointed out that individual factors (for example: individual attitudes, personality traits, intrinsic interest, etc.) and environmental factors (parents, peers and other important figures of the impact) will affect exploration skills development and exploratory behavior, but did not provide these specific Factors detail. Previous research in motivation, self-efficacy and other individual factors, environmental factors and family functioning, peer relationships, there is a huge breakthrough, however, the combination of the two joint research rarely. From individual and environmental factors affect career to explore this premise, select the attachment and self-identity of the two factors as independent variables, the effects of both college students career exploration. Attachment theory suggests that individual and family emotional bond to give their children a safe port, in the face of stress scenarios, they can actively explore (Ainsworth, 1982). The individual has a secure attachment relationship more confidence and courage and positive self-exploration and career exploration activities. Erikson proposed identity theory is more emphasis on individuals of different stages of development tasks to be faced, only adjust the inner self to adapt to environmental changes brought pressure to complete the task, the individual to be able to better development, so self- identity development of good individuals facing career choice task, more active career exploration, lay a solid foundation for career decision-making. This study through empirical research studies, the following conclusions: (1) self-identity and career exploration there are gender and grade differences significantly better than girls, boys career exploration; freshman in ego identity diffusion dimension score significantly higher at the other three grade levels, the senior students in terms of achievement dimension score was significantly higher than the freshman and junior students; individual career exploration also increases with the growth of the grade. (2) differences ego identity differences exist in the one-child attachment only child and home address. The only child in the mother-child communication, significantly higher than the non-only child, was significantly lower than the one-child in the mother-child alienation. Who lives in the rural and urban individual who lives in the city's individual score in the mother-child communication is significantly higher than in the mother-child alienation score was significantly lower than the individual who lives in rural areas and towns. The only child in the diffusion dimension and exclusive dimension score significantly higher than non-only child. (3) The two dimensions of attachment of each dimension of career exploration have significantly related to attachment there is a significant predictor of career exploration. Significant correlation in two dimensions (4) self-identity dimension with career exploration, self-identity significantly predicted career exploration. (5) self-identity from the part of the intermediary role.
