Abstract


As an important part of the popular culture, the pop music industry has close relationship with the mass media techonology. Chinese pop music industry’s sales mode/spreading scope and development trends are changed a lot in the new media age. The birth of CD media announced the age of new media has begun. And in the following years the Internet media and mobile phone media turn up and develop well. These new media will be the important part of the Chinese pop music industry.This thesis attempts to analyst the relation of different new media characteristics and pop music industry;and the interactive relationships between the pop music industry and digital technology, And to study the new media technology how to influence the popular music industry, etc.The emphatic part of this research is on the Internet and mobile media how to impact Chinese pop music industry and the online music and mobile music brought what changes toward Chinese pop music industry in future. Chinese pop music industry’s development center is on the online music brought by the Internet media and the mobile music brought by mobile media online music sales market. This paper attempts to build up wireless music and online music industry value chain, to help analyst the profit pattern.To find out characteristics of the wireless music,then,analysis the online audiences and point out how the record company adapt the new media features.Based on the classical theories of industrial economics and mass communication theories to study pop music industry’s future way. And draw on the experience of the foreign music industry’s development road. Only when we understood popular music industry’s biggest problems-profit sources, can we for explore a healthy and sustainable development road for her.
