Abstract


The Sensor Network is no longer an unfamiliar concept, through the perception of the surrounding environment, various kinds of information transmitted over the Internet. Sensor Network is widely used in various fields of environmental monitoring, wild geography, military defense, public safety and intelligent home. Traditional Sensor Network terminal equipment can be perceived objects are very limited, mostly some simple factors, such as temperature and humidity. Scalar information reflects the perception of the simple situation of the environment. However, due to the increasingly complex environment, in the field of security, smart campus and modern military, we are more and more concerned about the audio and video information, in order to better understand the perception of objects. Perception of multimedia information and sensor network terminal equipment combine to form multimedia sensor is a current trend.Since the perception of objects of the multimedia sensor network compared to traditional sensor network is more complex, face many problems such as increased power consumption and processing more complex, the occupancy rate of the network resources.Based on the problems faced by the Multimedia Sensor Network, This paper use of efficient low-power embedded hardware platform, combined with the design of embedded development software and support Zigbee, Wi-Fi and cable transmission of multimedia sensor terminal. First, on the basis of analyzing the multimedia sensor network terminal, introduces the key technology of realize terminal equipment. A brief analysis of the video compression coding standard H.264; on the Zigbee, Wi-Fi and 3G wireless communications technologies used in multimedia messaging; depth a variety of perceived information fusion transmission of real-time transport protocol (RTP) and real-time streaming protocol (RTSP).Secondly, designed and implemented a multimedia sensor hardware platform of the terminal equipment. It including video and other data-aware, real-time processing, network transmission. Compared on the basis of a variety of Zigbee, selected using the CC2430 chip to receive the simple perception of temperature, humidity, etc.. By detailed comparison of several mainstream embedded program, the TMS320DM365-based multimedia information processing of the control chip embedded hardware solutions.Third, on the basis of completion of the terminal hardware platform, implemented of multimedia sensor terminal software program. To build an embedded Linux environment, multimedia sensing terminal of the Linux kernel configuration, and the development of data acquisition driver. In a research-based multimedia information processing technology, development of the platform based on Davinci multimedia processing software. The software implementation a multimedia information acquisition, information fusion, compression coding processing and packaging, and network distribution capabilities.In the final detailed testing of hardware and software platforms. The detailed analysis of the described test results, assessed the performance of hardware and software of the terminal node. Depth discussion the problems in this paper and the need to improve.
