Abstract


With the improvement of living standards of everyday life, people demand higher and higher efficient medical treatment services. Shenyang, as a large modern city, is so rich in health care resources. However, existing medical treatment services can not meet the people’s growing health badly needs. The differences among medical treatment institutions in different regions are quite significant. Futhermore, the deployment of medical treatment resources varies from town to village. Therefore, many prominent problems appear in the field of medical treatment resources management and planning in the city, such as reduplication and overlap of medical treatment institutions, uneven distribution of medical and technical persons, ?medical treatment is difficult and expensive? and etc. In fact, they are mainly caused by the unscientific structure and irrational distributions of medical treatment resources.In order to solve the above issues, this dissertation proposes a novel Medical Treatment Resources Management Decision Support System (DSS) based on Data Warehouse (DW), On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Data Mining (DM) technology. The presented DSS stores all kinds of heterogeneous multi-mode dynamic source data through the building of medical treatment resources DW, processes multi-dimensional data using OLAP technology, acquire new knowledge feedback and enrich the knowledge warehouse of DSS employing DM in order to form an intelligent closed loop system.Based on C/S + B/S platform architecture, this dissertation uses Oracle DW building environment-OWB, OLAP services and ABN-based ODM data mining algorithm of Oracle 10g to design and implement the medical treatment resources DSS. And tightly coupled environment of DW, DM and applications greatly improves the efficiency of data mining. Through VB.net programming environment, seamlessly combining of DW, OLAP and DM can construct a novel medical treatment resources management DSS. The whole DSS consists of health care resources data warehouse, data mining module, online analysis module and planning generation system. The DSS captures meaningful and important data from databases of medical treatment management system and local and remote medical data sources in Shenyang. The metadata is defined according to the data conversion and clean-up by topics, and then stored into the data warehouse, making OLAP module and DM module interconnected through shared scheduling data and efficient data retrieval, query and operation.Implementation functions of the DSS, including analysis, optimization and prediction capabilities, will provide optimal decision-making information to form an intelligent plan for decision-makers, and reduce decision-making errors as the same time. The medical treatment DSS can also help the regional medical authorities to improve the level of scientific decision-making and utilization of medical treatment resources in Shenyang and eventually have a tremendous social benefits in improving urban medical treatment resources management, improving utilization of medical resources and relieving the contradiction between doctors and patients have a tremendous social benefits, etc.
