Abstract


With the rapid development of Internet, broadband router has become one of the necessary equipment of the Internet. Router Configuration Management System will directly determine the quality and efficiency of the router. Excellent configuration management system allows the router to work more stable and efficient. Meanwhile, the hierarchy of router system configuration management system directly determines the ease of application development based on this configuration system. How to develop and design an effective router configuration system has become an important issue in major router vendors.Firstly, this paper research on the hierarchy of Broadcom BCM963 CMS router configuration management system, analyzes the layered structure of the CMS. Than, gives out the design of router configuration system based on hierarchy of CMS, realize the structure of functional modules of PVC configuration, ADSL access mode configuration, DHCP parameter configuration, the router DNS address configuration, routing and forwarding configuration, router statistics configuration. Based on this, discuss in detail the functions and Design goals of layers of code DAL (Data Access Layer), OBJ (Object Layer), ODL (Object Dispatch Layer), RCL (Runtime Config Layer), RUT (Runtime utilities), STL (System Status Layer), gives out the process of the code to run from the user sent a request to configure the router through the WEB browser to router configuration system to complete the configuration.Finally, the design of the router page and configuration based on actual user needs as an example, gives out the software development process and detailed implementation steps of the router configuration management system based on BCM963 BCM, completes code development of the configuration system and the pages of PVC modification and DNS configuration, after testing, successfully achieved the special requirements of page configuration requirement.Through the final results of the design and implementation, can make a conclusion that the system based on Broadcom BCM963 CMS is a router configuration system which is stable, efficient, suitable for feature customization and application.
