Abstract


With the development of computer network, information is more important for enterprise. Between the enterprise, the enterprise headquarters and branch office’s network transmission is important day by day. The security, effective and reliable transmission data on the public network environment is one of important topics in communication.IPsec (Internet Protocol Security) is IP level tunnel encryption protocol formulated by IETF; it provides high available, interoperability, based on the cryptology security guarantees for data which transmitted on Internet. It is one tradition technology used in VPN (Virtual Private Network). Hot-standby system means that the standby equipment gets mater equipment’s real-time data. When the master equipment breaks down, the standby equipment to continue to process the data, guaranteed that the data processing does not interrupt. VPN on the IPsec protocol provides the data security reliable transmission in the public network by encryption and authentication data. The hot-standby system of IPsec VPN enhances VPN the performance and reliability.IPsec support hot-standby system gives the equipment processing data to provide the IPsec protection a standby equipment to gain the IPsec function real-time data, when the master equipment breaks down, the standby equipment does not need to communicate the peer equipment may continue to process the data, protects the data stream not to interrupt, enhances system’s toughness and the grade of service greatly.The main research content and the achievement include:(1) Analyzing the IPsec protocol safety mechanism frame and implementation and hot-standby technology, designs IPsec VPN hot-standby system.(2) Demonstrating three aspects of the hot-standby system of IPsec VPN: the backup channel, the backup plan and the backup data.(3) For the purpose of design reliable and effective system, not only paying great attention the topic function realization, also considering about system’s performance with other modules.
