Abstract

According to statistics , every year about 10 billion tons of ballast water transfer in the world , which resulted in serious pollution of the marine environment , is an effective solution to the non - normal migration of ballast water marine life , in recent years, the world shipbuilding industry the researchers propose innovative thought , no ballast water ship (Non-Ballast Water Ship, NOBS) design philosophy . The so-called the NOBS that is the design of the ship in case of no or only a small amount of ballast water to meet the performance requirements of the sailing of the ship . The NOBS mainly have three design options , respectively, for the V-shaped hull design , hull design program through the design of the flow system and a single structure . The paper selected V- NOBS, its structural characteristics . The contrast from the structure parent ship and V-type the NOBS of difference . First, based on the type of cross-sectional area of ??the same line of design changes , the parent ship ( ordinary tanker ballast tanks ) on the basis of the structure , the original parent ship evolved into a V- NOBS , the bottom of the V -type NOBS rendering a certain angle , while increasing the design of the ship width , doing so, we can guarantee that the ship has a sufficient draft to meet the performance requirements when the ship unloaded , and the other hand, the stability of the ship has been significantly improved . Second, the parameters of the minimum section modulus checking two ship , ship in cross section compared to analyze the reasons that cause parameter changes . Again to double - hull oil tankers and common norms and CCS tanker specifications \A comparative study . Finally , according to the results of the above analysis , the evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of no ballast the ship 's structure characteristics , the proposed design amendments provide a reference for the future development of a ship without ballast specification .
