Abstract

Objective: Percutaneous balloon dilatation vertebroplasty injection of bone cement method of treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, bone cement injection volume was observed with postoperative pain relief and quality of life (quality of life, QOL) changes relationship . Methods: 62 osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures were randomized controlled study , A group of 21 patients received bone cement 2ml; B group, 20 patients were treated with bone cement 3ml; C group, 21 patients received treatment of bone cement 4ml are in January , according to the VAS pain grading (visual analogue scale, VAS) and functional activity of lower back disorders table (the oswestry low back pain disability questionnaire, OLBPDQ) the degree of pain relief from the evaluation of QOL changes were observed before treatment , 24 hours after treatment , thirty days were scored. Statistical analysis of the data measurement data using t test , count data using x2 test , above all between using SPSS17.0 statistical software for data processing , with P values ??lt; 0.05 was considered statistically significant sign. Results : After treatment, 24 hours , thirty days Diseases Clinical evaluation: comparing the three groups before and after treatment were improved significantly ﹝ P lt; 0.05 ﹞; treatment effect thirty days after the three groups the difference between groups was statistically significance ﹝ P lt; 0.05 ﹞. Conclusions: Percutaneous balloon dilatation vertebroplasty bone cement injection volume can be achieved in about 3ml good clinical efficacy.
