Abstract


Urban system, it is an objective of the complex system with spontaneous and growth characteristics. As a result, it can not automatically adjust to form a rational and efficient system. The function of urban system planning and research is to reveal the internal law of urban system in order to organizing a better one, which is also the objective needing of urban development .Our country has entered rapid urbanization stage. Urbanization, it is the objective requirements of China’s economic and social harmonious development and the stage the process to go through to achieve a comprehensive modernization. According to statistics, China’s urbanization rate in 2009 reached 46.6%. But because China is a vast country, the urbanzation of cities and towns across it varies considerably.Ji’an city is located in the central of Jiangxi province, the middle reaches area of middle reaches area. At present, the level of urbanization is clearly lagging behind the pace of industrialization in this city, and it will undoubtedly affect the overall development of socio-economic. Then, in this situation, it is important to adjust the urban system planning for rational distribution to choose the correct development path of urbanization for the reality of Ji’an.Firstly, this paper studies the domestic and international literature on the urban system and the related basic theories. Then, made a comprehensive analysis in the base of current condition of urban system in Ji’an, including macro-analysis of its conditions for the development, the description of its urban development process, the constitute of urban system ,etc. Finally, this paper conducted special studies from three aspects for the reconstruction of urban system in Ji’an. It predicted the population and the level of urbanization of Ji’an using of relevant quantitative analysis method; It drew up the development strategy of center towns in Ji’an including spatial and industrial distribution by using of qualitative research methods. It analyzed the urban economic zones in Ji’an field and set relatively complete programs and strategies.
