Al-Cu alloys with different Cu content study different Ti content hypoeutectic Al-5wt.% Cu alloy microstructure refinement, comparative study of the conventional casting conditions and different Cu content in the different cooling rates The microstructure of the Al-Cu alloy, by DSC analysis of the influence of the cooling rate on the latent heat of fusion of the different content of Cu, Al-Cu alloy,. The findings include the following aspects: (1) different Ti content hypoeutectic Al-5wt.% Cu alloy microstructure grain refinement: With the gradual increase of the Ti content, grain size smaller. When the Ti content of 0.1wt.% Minimum grain size. 0.1wt.% Ti content than the grain refining effect of a downward trend. (2) different Cu content in Al-Cu alloy microstructure contrast: hypoeutectic Al-Cu alloys with increasing Cu content, the proportion of primary α-Al phase decreases gradually eutectic structure increased proportion; eutectic alloy Al-Cu eutectic structure (a-Al phase 0-Al2Cu phase) was lamellar distribution. (3) the cooling rate on the eutectic Al-40wt% Cu alloy microstructure impact: With the increase of cooling rate, the primary relative θ-Al2Cu, by the square block becomes finer grain size of about 45μm less small to about 10μm. The main reason is the cooling rate increases, the alloy internal cause undercooling, inhibiting the precipitation and growth of the newborn the θ-Al2Cu phase. FIG seen from the standard differential relationship of the cooling rate and the grain size, grain size distribution in order to obtain good uniformity of the material, the need to improve the cooling rate of the alloy. (4) derived through observation and analysis of the different content of Cu, Al-Cu alloy DSC curve: hypoeutectic Al-Cu alloy under normal casting conditions, with increasing Cu content increase in the proportion of eutectic structure, the melting corresponding The peak temperature rise. With the increase in the content of Cu in the range of the amount of Cu-containing 5wt.%-40wt.%, The latent heat of fusion of the Al-Cu alloy is reduced gradually. (5) from the wedge-shaped specimen tip at 1cm, the cooling rate is larger, corresponding to the melting temperature of the endothermic peak in the DSC curve of hypoeutectic and eutectic Al-Cu alloy primary α-Al phase and eutectics gradually increases large, latent heat of fusion of the same content of Cu, Al-Cu alloy is reduced than the conventional casting conditions. (6) As the cooling rate is gradually increased, the hypoeutectic Al-20wt% Cu alloy melting initiation temperature, low temperature endothermic peak, high temperature endothermic peak, the melting end temperature gradually increases, the latent heat of fusion of the alloy gradually decreases . (7) as the cooling rate increases, the hardness of the hypoeutectic Al-20wt.% Cu alloy increases gradually, over-eutectic Al-40wt% Cu alloy hardness but decreases gradually.
