Abstract

[Objective] To compare high-functioning autism (high functioning autism, HFA) HFA Children and Normal Children differences in response inhibition function, to study the response inhibition task during frontal cortex the oxygen variation as well as suppression between function and clinical symptoms. relationship to explore the neurophysiological basis of the pathogenesis of the HFA children. [Method] The reaction / 26 HFA children and 20 children in the control group and the Stroop task response inhibition function tests while using functional near-infrared optical imaging technology (near-reaction task (go / no-go task) infrared spectroscopy, NIRS) to measure and compare the two groups of children in the differences in the implementation of response inhibition task during prefrontal oxygenated hemoglobin content, using multivariate analysis of variance statistics; HFA group of children while the executive response inhibition task behavior data and prefrontal oxygenated hemoglobin content with childhood autism rating scale (childhood autism rating scale CARS) score Spearman correlation analysis. [Results] (1) HFA group of children in the go / no-go task in the implementation of the no-go task mistakenly number [(6.19 ± 5.24) vs (2.90 ± 1.59)] and the average reaction [(577.10 ± 123.85) ms vs (476.60 ± 46.39) ms] were significantly higher (P ≤ 0.01), to control IQ and age factors, the differences remained statistically significant (P lt; 0.05); groups average response time in the implementation of Stroop color word interference task in two groups wrong number [(3.30 ± 2.06) vs (2.15 ± 2.16)] and the average response time [(1751.60 ± 354.83) ms vs (1645.50 ± 295.30) ms] There was no significant difference (P gt; 0.05 ). (2) the HFA group of children in the implementation of the no-go task mistaken number (r = 0.403, P = 0.041) and OX reaction (r = 0.427, P = 0.029) positive correlation CARS total score (P lt; 0.05); press CARS total score and average response time related to sex (P gt; 0.05) in the implementation of the fault in the Stroop color word interference task. (3) NIRS the right side of the prefrontal oxygenated hemoglobin activation amount lower than the control group [(-0.35 ± 0.47) (10 -2 × au) vs the HFA group of children in the implementation of the no-go task leaves oxygenated hemoglobin content was no significant difference (P gt; 0.05). (4) HFA group of children in the implementation of the no-go task the right side of the prefrontal oxygenated hemoglobin content and CARS score was negatively correlated (r = -0.423, P = 0.032), in the implementation of the Stroop color word interference task prefrontal oxygenated hemoglobin content of the regional CARS score no sex (P gt; 0.05). [Conclusion] (1) the HFA children exist partially inhibited functional defects; (2) HFA children to inhibit the function of the extent of the damage and clinical symptoms severity positive correlation between; (3) the using NIRS technology research HFA children suppression function found right lateral prefrontal BOLD activation degree of severity of the clinical symptoms were negatively correlated.
