Abstract


Traditional Chinese culture attached great importance to the character of“perfection”. For Chinese ancient philosopher, they set the hope of the moral character perfection of man on education. What’s more in ancient China, moral education was paid attention by the rulers in all the dynasties. And was also the important ways in feudalism society to unify one’s views on thought and moral, regulate human relations and perfect one’s virtues. The formulation of Xunzi’s moral education thoughts was finished under the special social background of end of Zhan-guo Era. His thoughts of moral education were valuable assets which had special value in Chinese traditional culture.Through systematic research of“Xunzi”, combined with the existing theoretical results, the theoretical basis of moral education of Xunzi is analyzed in this paper, and then content, objectives and the implementation of moral education thoughts are studied, all above the rich explanatory power of theoretical explanations is given, in order to investigate the value of reference and times for moral education theory and practice. The results of research show that Xunzi thought human’s nature was evil, and by analyzing the origin of morality, combining with the thought of justice system to benefit, in order to complete the system of moral values. Meanwhile, Xunzi thought that the persons’“heart”had cognitive function, and ritual and music could promote the acceptance of moral education. As this theoretical foundation, based on the prevailing social phenomenon, in order to shape the noble character of "gentleman" and ideal personality of the "saints", Xunzi had established a moral education system of distinguishing good and evil, honor and shame, then through the rite music education and credit education to shape the personal integrity of noble character and sentiment. To ensure the implementation of moral education is smooth, Xunzi advocated that on the basis of a clear motivation, not only exposed to achieve inner harmony, but also integrated with self-education and environmental education, combined with learning, thinking and acting; and pay attention to the role of teachers. Although Xunzi’s Moral Education in the final represents the essence of the feudal landlord class’s interests, in modern times, it is necessary to fully understand and explore valuable resources from the ideas of moral education of Xunzi, and make reasonable use of them. Analyzing under the current background, the goal of the contemporary ideological and political education should pay attention to the comprehensive development and the development level of the time, the way of ideological and political education needs diversify, Today’s society should pay more attention to environmental ethics education, strengthening the training of young students’morality education, to promote the building of harmonious socialist.
