Abstract


The stage design,which serves for theatrical performance, not only figures the different theatrically environmental space in the stage, and expresses the different time features, spatial structure and environmental atmosphere, but also provides the action fulcrum and paths to theatrical performance. As the one of the important elements in stage design, stair device plays a role in changing the plane undulation of the stage in one way, and connects the performance to reflect the connotation of script in the other.This paper conducts an in-depth analysis and study on the function of stair devise in stage design from the perspective of artistic visual perception. Based on the concept and development of stair devise in stage design, this paper illustrates the general function of the stair devise in stage design through analyzing space, rhythm, fulcrum and path by a lot of specific examples, then analyzes the specific function of the stair devise in stage design, and explores the function of representation and expression of the stair devise in stage design deeply. This study tries to widen the creative vision of stair devise in stage design, and provide the theoretical support to further theoretical study and creation of the stage art.
