Abstract


This thesis is to study the English-Chinese the alternate interpretation Shun translation . First, we define the alternate interpretation , two translation strategies Shun translation and non - Shun translation and a simple comparison . Then , given the Shun translation theory basis from cognitive science and linguistics . The high degree of short-term memory and cognitive resources consumption from cognitive science perspective , because the translator work , reasonable arrangements for cognitive resources and short-term memory is particularly important , can help smooth translation interpreter quick release cognitive resources and short-term memory . Chomsky 's principle of economy as the the linguistic theoretical basis of this study . Although the principle is to interpret natural language , but also apply in interpreting studies . Then we concerned about the feasibility of the smooth translation from the English and Chinese Consecutive Interpretation . Sentence structure in English and the Chinese gave cis- inclusive translation provides a convenient conditions . Based on the Prague School rheme theory , this paper gives a smooth translation in the Interpretation of use . In conclusion , the paper stressed the Shun translation is a very important strategy in the English-Chinese Consecutive Interpretation . Therefore , in the interpretation of the teaching activities should include the Shun translation intensive training . Shun translation , simultaneous interpretation at home and abroad were frequently used for discussion . However, there is no study about of Shun translation alternate interpretation . Taking into account the consecutive interpretation and simultaneous interpretation are required to complete a number of tasks at the same time , the Translator to face a huge load of information , limited cognitive resources . This paper not only gives the theoretical basis of alternating smooth translation interpretation , cited a viable alternate interpretation Shun translation strategies , and hope to make some contribution of interpretation studies from a new angle .
