Abstract


Puyang County locates the junction of Shandong Province and Henan Province. Its dialect is one kind of the Zhongyuan Mandarins, which belongs to the Zhengzhou and Kaifeng section in the dialect area of Henan. There hasn’t brought about a systematical investigation on the current Puyang dialect yet. The social dialect part of the book Puyang journal only gives a brief description on the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. The paper try to present the basic features of Puyang dialect’s pronunciation through a comprehensive and systematical investigation on its dialects, providing materials about single-point pronunciation system for Henan dialect. Meanwhile, I hope this paper will give a useful help to the deep-seated study on the Chinese dialect.The paper, which is mainly written through descriptions in a static manner, is intended to reveal the main features and the general process of evolution about the pronunciation of Puyang dialect and then to determine its ownership. And the paper is based on the comparison between the common language of Mandarin and the Wide Rhyme through the diachronic and synchronic point of view. The former is shared by the modern Chinese nation and the latter is a representative of Middle Phonology System. The whole paper is divided into eight parts:1. A brief introduce to the Puyang County’s geography, history, population, language usage and the current research about Puyang dialect.2. Description of the relationship between the phonologic tone system and phonology’s match.3. Collection of homonym of Puyang dialect.4. A comprehensive analysis about the features of consonants, vowels, tone of Puyang dialect by comparing the Sound System and the Middle phonology System.5. Analysis about the similarities and differences of Puyang dialect and Beijing phonology system.6. Arrangement and classification of the voice flow phenomena in Puyang dialect.7. Introduced the cultural dialect and colloquial phenomena of Puyang County.8. Conclusion.
