Abstract


Telecommunications industry as one of the industries with the fastest economic growth speed in our country, confronts with enormous competitive pressures. Along with the opening of telecommunications market, the competitive pattern of telecommunications companies has undergone major changes, namely from the original situation that few telecommunications companies competed for the local market to the current situation that many telecommunications companies compete for the global market. To be acutely aware of market dynamics, telecom operators must keep abreast of the business operation situation, and adjust the business strategy according to the market situation, which all must be based on effective analysis of business data. Due to the construction of business support systems by the telecom enterprises, a large amount of historical data has been accumulated inside the enterprises. But in the original operation-type database system, the data can not be extracted and sublimated into useful information. So, new technology must be introduced to deeply analyze these business data and discover the potential value. Data warehouse technology, as the solution to the problem, has been adopted by more and more enterprises.This paper, considering the current operational status of telecom companies, proposes the concept of constructing a network operation analysis system based on data warehouse technology, aiming to meet the requirements of different departments and users, and provide a scientific basis for operation decision-making, by integrating all distributed business data inside the telecommunications enterprises.The main works of this paper are as follows:(1) Introduce the application background, development status and related theories of data warehouse.(2) Deeply analyze the role of data warehouse in the telecom enterprises, and the business characteristics of telecom enterprises.(3) Managed the demand according to the telecommunication enterprise to propose the network operation analysis system’s overall solution.(4) Describe the design of data warehouse, and the data’s organization,storage, extraction, Transformation and loading in detail,by combining the construction of operation analysis system.(5) Design some analysis modules by surrounding the theme.
