Abstract


Occurrence of the financial crisis, the harmonious development of society, the requirements of the voice of the people on the social responsibility of the commercial banks is getting higher and higher, to fulfill their social responsibility become the inevitable choice for commercial banks, commercial banks and conscientiously fulfill their social responsibility to their commercial operation are mutually exclusive, but The core elements of its sustainable development and gain a competitive advantage. In this paper, through a variety of data synthesis, the commercial bank's social responsibility is divided into four areas: economic responsibility, legal responsibility, moral responsibility and sustainable development responsibility. Meanwhile, this paper analyzed and compared the Social Responsibility Report 2008, China's major commercial banks and foreign commercial banks, to investigate the current situation of China's commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibilities and the performance of the obligations of the distinction between social and foreign commercial banks, China's commercial banks to better to fulfill their social responsibility to come up with strategies and recommendations. This paper argues that: due to the constraints of the policy and the supervision of public opinion, China's commercial banks in the course of business to fulfill some social responsibility, but in comparison with foreign banks, commercial banks in China in terms of social responsibility is still in its infancy, mainly lies in: First China's commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibilities as a must obligations, rather than from the point of view of their own development needs. Secondly, due to strict supervision by the Banking Bureau and the People's Bank of China's commercial banks, social economic responsibility, various commercial banks through the implementation of the various systems of the People's Bank and the Banking Bureau to achieve compliance with this The purpose of the responsibility from not because of the bank's own initiative to fulfill the responsibility of the socio-economic and strict supervision to ensure financial security and socio-economic stability. This has resulted in the bank's internal risk discrimination casual act in full accordance with the various systems, while ignoring the risk of the thing itself. Third, because I had the relationship between the commercial banks and the government are relatively close, so the the credit funds invest a large extent by the government, which allows banks to control credit funds to invest in control to support environmental protection and education industries are the impact of the government funding needs, resulting in commercial banks can not fulfill their sustainable development responsibilities in accordance with their subjective intent. Therefore, China's commercial banks to fulfill their social responsibilities mainly because the strict supervision of all aspects, rather than because of the needs of their own development initiative to fulfill. Therefore, China's commercial banks and the need to constantly study abroad and learn from, to fulfill their social responsibility becomes active behavior. In addition to learning the advanced experience of foreign commercial banks, commercial banks in China to fulfill their social responsibility should also be aware of different environment and foreign commercial banks in China where the need to constantly explore suitable for China's national conditions of corporate social responsibility.
