Abstract

The electronic information manufacturing industry is the most active, lively and precursory high-tech industry today. Since the reform and opening up, the electronic information manufacturing industry in China has made brilliant achievements. It has rounded into the first dominant industry among the domestic industries, and it is also the most marked industry of the international competitiveness growing of the country. The electronic information manufacturing industry in China is the key to the optimization of industrial structure and the change of the industrial developmental pattern. Thus the research on the industrial international competitiveness of the electronic information manufacturing industry in China not only has positive significance to the further development for Chinese electronic information manufacturing industry, but also gives some enlightenment to maintain its industrial international competitivenessThere are two classical theories about the analysis of the industrial international competitiveness of the theoretical foundation:the comparative advantage theory and the competitive advantage theory. Among the existed literatures on industrial international competitiveness, most of them dissever those two theories. But under the analysis of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry development process, the paper considers that dissevering the two theories can not explain the facts of the growing of the industrial international competitiveness of the electronic information manufacturing industry in China. Therefore, according to the actual situation of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry and combining the two theories, the paper constructs a theoretical analysis framework to better explain the actual situation of the industrial international competitiveness of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry. This theoretical analysis framework deems that the industrial international competitiveness of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry is determined jointly by the comparative advantage theory and the competitive advantage theory. The comparative advantage theory is the basic function of its industrial international competitiveness, and the competitive advantage theory is the decisive function. And based on the actual situation of the industrial international competitiveness of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry, this paper demonstrates the theoretical analysis framework using qualitative and quantitative analysis method.On the part of qualitative analysis, on the basis of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry development process and development situations, the article shows that many problems exist the electronic information manufacturing industry, and it seriously influence its industrial international competitiveness. From the angle of the comparative advantage theory and the competitive advantage theory, this paper qualitatively analyses that the various factors of the comparative advantage theory and the competitive advantage theory influence the industrial international competitiveness of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry, and demonstrates this theoretical analysis framework. On the part of quantitative analysis, through reviewing the evaluation index of the industrial international competitiveness, this paper considers that the market share index and the productivity index and the profits index cannot be good explained the industrial international competitiveness. Therefore, this paper utilizes the relative efficiency between input and output of the data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to improve the productivity index. In the analytical process of the C2R model, the article uses the super efficiency DEA method to improve the C2R model (This model called the super efficiency model). And this model is used to analyze the industrial international competitiveness of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry. The specific steps of quantitative analysis as follows:firstly, it estimates the industrial international competitiveness by using the super efficiency model; secondly, it estimates the effect of the various factors between the comparative advantage theory and the competitive advantage theory to the industrial international competitiveness through using the Tobit model. Based on the qualitative and the quantitative analysis method to demonstrate the paper’s theoretical framework, the actual results show that his framework can better explain the actual situation of the industrial international competitiveness of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry.In the end of this paper summarizes conclusions from the related theories of the industrial international competitiveness and the qualitative and the quantitative analysis of China’s electronic information manufacturing industry. And lastly the article proposes relevant countermeasures.
