Abstract

Through surveying the natural environment and socially economic conditions, the main problems of sugarcane production was pointed out and corresponding measures and policies of sugarcane produced industry were made. The research results are followed:1. Owning favourably endowed natural environment, superior socially economic conditions, obvious advantages in location and traffic, Jiang Nan district is suitable for the development of sugarcane produced industry.2. Sugarcane produced industry plays an important role in economic and social development. It is the pillar industry and the main source of the increase income of farmers, the increase efficiency for corporations and the increase financial taxes.3. The structure adjustment of state strategy of transplanting the sugarcane in the east of China to the west area and the large demand of sugarcane in domestic and abroad market provide much more appreciate space for sucrose produced industry in Jiang Nan district.4. With extension and applying of alcohol petrol, the demand of fuel alcohol is increasing year by year. This promising market provides an new development method for sucrose produced industry5. The recycling of alcohol waste from sugar factory turning the waste into treasures brings a new promising change for sucrose produced industry.6. The main problems of sucrose produced industry:1) The major influence of the sucrose price causing by International Financial Crisis impaired the initiative of farmers in planting sugarcane; 2) The poor infrastructures in sugarcane planting area and frequent occurrence of natural disasters; 3) The poor nutrients in soil and severe reduction in soil fertility; 4) The poor behavior in agricultural technology extension and in culture and management; 5) Severely depending on single variety and the shortage of improved varieties replacing for poor varieties; 6) The scale of sugarcane planting is dispersed and small, and the development of mechanization is slow; 7) Serious occurrence of pest and disease on sugarcane hampers the boost of sugarcane yield; 8) Industrialized operation is fragmentary and benefit allocation among politic, industry and agriculture is not proper; 9) The relative industrial chain is not long enough and additional value of industry is low.7. Some powerful measures must be taken to maintain the stable development of sucrose industry in Jiang Nan district:1) Establishing the promoting mechanism to stabilize and perfect polices of sucrose producing; 2) Strengthen the building of infrastructure and Integrated Application of water-saving, water absorbent and drought-relief technologies; 3) Applying the accessory technology, improving the soil and conserving soil fertility; 4) Enhancing science popularization provides the support for sucrose producing industry; 5)The new and suitable varieties should be introduced actively and improved varieties of autonomous Innovation should be promoted popularized and applied; 6) The large-scale of sugarcane production should be promoted and mechanization of sugarcane production should be accelerated; 7) Treating the disease and insect pest should be enhanced, so as to make sure the proper development of sugarcane production; 8) Promoting the industrial operation should be speed up, so as to provide great supports for development of sucrose production; 9) Industry chain of sucrose production should be elongated, enhancing the comprehensive ultilization.
