Abstract


The study of reading and writing has caught the eyes of general teachers and students, for the value and significance of reading and writing skills are no longer to be suspicious. People seek for the various methods to solve their writing problems through language inputs, of course in most cases through amounts of reading, however, it has been found that comprehensive reading doesn’t always mean effective learning. So, the key point of my research is what method of reading can effectively improve the development of the ability of writing.The essay has six parts. First part introduces the background of this research, its purpose and also the research contents and approaches of it. In the second part, I focus on the value and importance of Krashen’s input theory and Swain’s output theory, and it analyses the impact of present theoretical study of the topic. The third one aims at stating the results of an investigation, which keeps a close eye on the present state of reading and writing in real classes. The forth of the text, which is the main core, gets some teaching strategies of’improving writing through reading’via large numbers of practical cases. And the fifth one is set to show the results and reflection of the research. This chapter presents the effects of this strategy by means of comparison and questionnaire, which sums up and compares the various specialty of’reading promotes writing’. And the last chapter summarizes the result of the teaching strategies, while it mentions the deficiency during the research and the advice for the future study. The result of the study shows that with different language levels of students, various reading materials, applying the suitable writing teaching strategies, we can definitely improve the writing ability of all the students.
