Abstract


As an important element of Uygur dress culture, Uygur female’s traditional headwear is one of the characteristics of ethnic identity which is closely related to Uygurs’historical process, culture recordation and ecological environment since ancient times. Uygur female’s traditional headwear culture has agglomerated the folklore and etiquette of Uygur, concept of culture and aesthetic standard of national psychology. Therefore, according to the folklore forms of Uygur female’s traditional headwear, culture intentions and social functions can be overlapped. From this point of view, it will play a very important role in the study of folklore.On the basic theory of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, this paper, with the means of historical method, fieldwork and documentation method, study deeply the culture process of Uygur females’traditional headwear, the evolution of urban folklore and reflected culture phenomenon.With a clear structure of content, this paper tries to make a comprehensive explanation on the development of Uygur females’traditional headwear culture in urban folklore.The introduction tells us the reason and meaning of this subject, identities the object and range of the study and summarizes relative research.In the first chapter, it interprets Uygur females’traditional headwear culture with historical method. Section 1: describing the history of such culture. section2: introducing the type and symbolism of the headwear. Section3: talking about the position and roles of traditional headwear in the dress culture of Uygur.In the second chapter, it depicts the evolution of Uygur females’traditional headwear culture in urban folklore based on the practical investigation. Section2: discussing the development of Uygur females’traditional headwear culture among customs. Section3: discussing the evolution of Uygur females’traditional headwear culture in the social class- stratifying.In the third chapter, based on the practical investigation and documentation, it analyzes the factors influencing such headwear’s development from sociology. Section1: analyzing women’s psychological factors. Section2: talking about the effects of multi-nation. Section3: interpreting several kinds of social-ideology in the process of urbanization. Section4: explaining the influence of urbanization on Uygur females’headwear.The appendix supplies some papers list studying on Uygur dress published by Uyghur language.
