Abstract


Digital Home is the fully applied of information and digital technology in life, its core value is to address the various needs of the users, and which relies on the combination of the digitalization and the information technology , the integration 3C is the crucial factors in determine to which fields the digital home can extend . As a interactive applications, the interaction design of the hardware and software obtains more and more attention especially in its usability research.The entertainment products of the digital home as media center integrates more and more functions, and this trend will be stronger in the future development. It will not only present the user of a traditional broadcast video, but also the network functions including download and customization, equipped with a variety of interactive services to improve people’s living level of service, and the quality of life. Users’ needs of the products interaction develops into highly needs of the user experience today.This paper did the analysis to the design of media center which are based on the research approaches of availability in other fields. This article tried to discuss and study the elements in the interaction design for the media center. At the beginning, we defined and classified the user groups of digital home.and investigated the user satisfaction to the usability of today’s digital television interface by questionnaires and other methods , and collected the user informations on traditional TV the online entertainment,to analyze user’s behavior variables, mining the internal needs of the users, defined the basic interactions between the product and them. Then built user cognition and task models on the basis of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The Thesis analysis the interaction of hardware and software equipment ,especially the princples and methods of the usability that apply to Media Center. The third part has constructed the interactie design model related with the principles and methods mentioned before , and made a series designs of the hardware and software interfaces. Finally, this paper looked ahead to the further development and the expansion to function of the digital home products, and the studies of interaction design
