Abstract


Till now informationization has widely spreaded all over the globe and the informationization level has become an important index to evaluate an nation. It is surprising for the world to find how informationization could influence the governmental administration after the successful use in public administration. As an direct reflection, information system has drawn worldwide attention in governmental administration. With dozens of years of exploration, Chinese government has achieved great progress in IS application. However, there is still user unsatisfaction and pending issues waiting to be solved. IS continuance intention is a variable used to access user affection towards IS and is widely used in IS research. This study aimed to study the contiunance intention of user towards governmental information system.Based on Expectation Confirmation Theory, this study aimed to explore the user contiunance intention towards governmental internal operation system through the combination of research on practical issue and theory reference. Then this study used data from an emprical field study to test the research model. Finally, this study chose two different governmental internal operation systems to conduct a case study through comparison, which successfully varified the research model again as well as the conclusion made from the empirical study.Generally the conclusions of thid study are as follows:For one thing, the contiunance intention of governmental user towards the internal operation system is directly or indirectly influenced by variables such as fit, confirmation, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, satisfaction and computer self-efficacy.Secondly, the resource of the internal operation system is positively associated with the system fit and the fit between system and user’s daily work will positively influence user’s confirmation towards the system, which consequently will have positive influence on other variables and the contiunance intention ultiamtely. Thirdly, the comparison case study verified the research model again and made a more vivid and articulated explanation on the influence mechanism that works on the final contunance intention.Eventually, based on the conclusions that have been made previously in this study, several suggestions were also given to improve the continuance intention of governmental user towards internal operation system and promote the successful application of information system during governmental administration.
